Sirus Digital Newsletter – Edition 8

Respect (especially in Virtual Meetings) is becoming a hot topic. While inappropriate behavior is just that, there is an even bigger developing pattern of low-attentiveness and general disinterest marring our collaborations. All parties need to commit to the objective (“Why we are gathering?”) and goal to address (“What do we want to accomplish?”)

Don’t settle for less!

If you have complex problems, solve the simple parts first!

Sirus Digital Newsletter – Edition 7

Complexity is something that we deal with on a daily basis. The “dirty little secret” is most of the complexity that we face is of our own creation! Whether it be in our usage of social platforms (and working to foster authentic relationships on them) or navigating the interactions between companies and providers on our digital platforms, we have to pay attention to not only what we do, but also what others are doing as well.

He will win whose army is animated with the same spirit throughout its ranks.

Sirus Digital Newsletter – Edition 6

If the biggest part of success is showing up, much of the remainder is the motivation and dedication to keep at it regardless of your immediate results. Socialize ‘Why’ it is important and invest your time establishing the consistency needed to achieve it!

The one thing that you wanted to happen is often the best thing that never happened.

Sometimes it is the shots that miss which end up delivering results that you would not have expected. This edition was exactly one of those moments when I tried one thing, but it manifested differently (but better) in a multitude of ways!

The Ultimate Sales Machine - Chet Holmes
book notes and review

Notes on The Ultimate Sales Machine

In this post, I will be reviewing The Ultimate Sales Machine by Chet Holmes. While published in 2008, it highlights key insights and sales relationship-building keenly missing in today’s environment.

In our drive to create funnels and enable automation, we often forget the normal progression of a sales cycle (awareness -> attention -> engagement -> conversion).

Giving inconsistent results is almost as bad as giving bad ones.

Sirus Digital Newsletter – Edition 4

I’m sharing some of the things that I’m reading right now. Whether that’s a book or blog, you’re going to see the things that I am looking at now (and in some cases, how I’m implementing it).

What you measure gets done. What you track improves. What you celebrate, you get more of.

Sirus Digital Newsletter – Edition 3

Too often, I spend time doing without focusing enough on reviewing results, setting future goals, or stopping to celebrate achievements already made.

Going forward, I will be redirecting focus from ‘How’ to more ‘What’ (and more importantly, ‘Why’).

Dissatisfacation can motivate a change, but struggles to maintain one!

Sirus Digital Newsletter – Edition 2

For those in dissatisfying circumstances, individual events create an emotional response. Where there has been historic (or on-going) disparate treatment, the situations (appearing isolated to others) become galvanizing.

My Thoughts On E-Myth Revisited

This is a book review containing my notes from The E-Myth Revisited: Why Most Small Businesses Don’t Work and What to Do About it by Michael E. Gerber. On average, there is a 50% failure rate in their 1st year and 80% failure rate within their 1st 5 years.
Gerber’s goal is sharing a process and system for building a business that defies those odds.
